Privacy Policy – Cover Letter Generator (Chrome Extension)

Cover Letter Generator is a Chrome extension that helps users create personalized PDF cover letters.

Information We Collect

• Profile details (e.g., name, contact info, and professional background) provided by the user in the Settings tab.
• Job posting text pasted by the user into the Generate tab.

This information is stored locally on the user’s device. The extension does not collect browsing history, location, or any other personal data.

How Information Is Used

• Profile details and job postings are sent only to the Google Gemini API (https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/*) for the purpose of generating a cover letter.
• No information is sold, shared, or used for advertising.

Data Storage and Sharing

• The extension uses Chrome’s local storage to save the user’s API key and profile.
• No data is transferred to third parties except directly to Google Gemini API for generating cover letters.

Your Privacy Rights

Users may clear or update their saved data anytime via the extension’s Settings.
